There’s nothing like searching through your purse for your wallet and not being able to find it through a sea of clutter. It’s nice to be prepared; however, having too many things in your purse can start to wear on your shoulders and make it difficult to find your essentials. That’s why you should try to carry only the absolute necessary if possible. That way, you know that no matter where you are, you’ll have what you need without an overwhelming amount of unnecessary junk.
Take a look at some of the most important beauty items you should always have at all times that can help you in even the stickiest of beauty emergencies.
Baby Wipes
Baby wipes can be a total lifesaver in many different situations. Whether you have oily skin, you’re on a road trip and need to “go” in a less than clean rest stop, or maybe you spilled a little wine on your shirt, baby wipes are your all-in-one on-the-go washcloth. Keeping a small pack in your purse will ensure that you have something to clean yourself with in a pinch. Just make sure that you don’t flush baby wipes down the drain, or you could end up having to call a plumber.
Chapstick
Nobody likes to have chapped lips. It’s helpful to keep chapstick on you at all times to avoid cracked lips and general discomfort. Not only can chapped lips hurt, but they can leave your lipstick looking chunky and dry. Always keep chapstick within reach any time of year, and you’ll thank us later.
Lotion
Cracked hands are something that people are experiencing more than ever now that hand washing is more necessary due to COVID. Washing frequently will dry your hands out and can start to age them at a rapid rate. Keep a small tube of hand cream in your purse so that you keep your hands moisturized after they’ve been disinfected.
Concealer
Before you stick your entire container of foundation in your purse, consider that perhaps all you need is a little concealer. Foundation can spill and get everywhere, and it may even break if it’s glass. However, a small tube of concealer is all you need to cover a small blemish or under-eye circles in a beauty emergency. The best part is it hardly takes up any room in your bag, leaving you plenty of space for everything else.
Perfume
While an entire bottle of perfume is not necessary, a small vial will do the trick. Although body spray works, perfume lasts longer, and a small amount goes a much longer way. Carrying a little perfume on you is a great way to freshen up if you’re going straight from work to a social event. A little spritz of your favorite perfume can leave you feeling “just got out of the shower” fresh!
