Many of us from the older generation didn’t have the opportunity to use technology in the classroom and the closest that we got to it was a television and a video recorder in the corner. Young students nowadays are surrounded by technology in their everyday lives, so that when they go to school they have already been exposed to it and are interested in modern technology. This provides many teachers and many schools with the benefits of mixing technology with classroom teaching and it is proving to be very effective. Kids now are more engaged and interested in the subjects that are being taught while in the past, it was very difficult for any teacher to keep hold of the student’s attention for any length of time.

It helps to make learning more effective and it creates many new opportunities for the students to learn. It all helps to make teaching and learning more fun for everyone and kids can now learn what the older generation has learned in the past, but it is a lot more enjoyable. It also encourages active dissipation from the student which is generally difficult to achieve when using traditional classroom methods.

Allowing students to actively participate in the whole learning experience helps them to remember more.
– Better individual learning – It is a well known fact that students learn in many different ways and while some students may lean towards more auditory lessons, others learn better with the use of pictures. Technology allows the teacher to introduce many different kinds of technology into the classroom that can address the many ways that students learn and it allows them to take things in at the wrong time and we can go back over it again later if they need to. Access to the Internet and digital technology provides many educational resources that can also add to better student engagement.
Technology in the classroom is an essential part of teaching and learning, and it allows students to get involved in the subject rather than just sitting there and listening to the teacher. The whole landscape with regard to learning has been transformed in a very positive way.
