Ferris wheels are one of the most popular attractions at any amusement park. People can’t wait to get on one and experience the feeling of being suspended in the air, high up overall, their surroundings. It’s a feeling that is both thrilling and calming.
People have been fascinated by Ferris wheels since they were invented in 1892 because they represent something beautiful, new, exciting, and safe enough for children. After all, there’s no risk of falling off! They’ve become symbols not only of amusement parks but also things like dreams coming true or hope for something better.
They aren’t precisely building overnight, too. Architects and engineers need months of planning and massive equipment. Contractors work with a crane industrial service company and other private firms with specialized equipment to do the job. The Ferris wheel also has to be very secure because it carries a lot of weight. Some designs involve using more than one crane service to get it into place.
